Flagging a Course to Send to Canvas

This step is required for any non-cross listed course to be sent to Canvas.

To flag a class to be sent to Canvas, navigate to Main Menu > Curriculum Management > Schedule of Classes > Maintain Schedule of Classes and add the LMS Class Attribute with the CANVAS Class Attribute Value selected. This should be done even if the class belongs to a Combined Section.




Merging Non Cross Listed Sections into a Single Course Space

Please first ensure the LMS and CANVAS attributes are added to each section (as defined above).

To merge non-combined sections into a single course space, navigate to Main Menu > Curriculum Management > Schedule of Classes > Maintain Schedule of Classes and select the appropriate Primary Instruction Section for each individual section.

Flagging Courses to Send to Canvas - Flagging Combined Sections

Only Campus Schedulers have access to edit the Combined Sections Table. Department schedulers should contact their Campus Scheduler to flag Canvas in Combined Sections.

There are two steps for cross listed classes. Both steps are listed below.

If you would like to have your combined class sections within Canvas, navigate to Main Menu > Curriculum Management > Combined Sections > Identify Combined Sections and add an Additional Attribute of Learning Management System and select Canvas.



Next, be sure to define the Parent Section (Primary Instruction Section) for a combined section by adding an Additional Attribute of Primary Instruction Section and selecting the appropriate section from the list of available values. Every Combined Section that is being sent to Canvas should have this defined.
