PLEASE NOTE:

On April 26, 2023, Information Technology Services (ITS) will upgrade Okta, WSU’s Single Sign-On service. This change will no longer support the Okta Mobile application. All expected changes are described below.

Beginning April 26, the Okta Mobile application will no longer be supported. Users will need to use the Okta Verify application or a bookmark https://login.wsu.edu in a mobile device's browser to reach the WSU Okta account dashboard.

Please note that Okta Mobile is separate from Okta Verify. Okta Verify functions for multi-factor authentication (MFA) and will continue to be supported, while Okta Mobile only functions to access various WSU applications (myWSU, Office 365, Workday, etc.) in one location.

If you currently use Okta Mobile, ITS recommends removing the application from your mobile device(s) as any attempt to use the application after the scheduled upgrade will lead to an error message informing you that your organization (WSU) is not supported on Okta Mobile.

Okta Mobile vs. Okta Verify

Okta Mobile is only used to access the account dashboard available on https://login.wsu.edu. You can access several WSU applications through this single application. Note that Okta Mobile will no longer be supported after April 26.

Okta Verify is currently used to complete multi-factor authentication (MFA) by confirming a push notification or entering a verification code at the WSU login page. On April 26, Okta Verify will begin providing the option to Launch Dashboard, which will re-direct you to the WSU Okta account dashboard in your mobile browser. You will then be able to access several WSU applications through your mobile device's browser.
