Maintenance Notification: CONFLUENCE Server will be down Friday October 30, 2020 from 8:00pm-10:00pm for Maintenance.

In order to connect to the Payroll Direct Deposit SharePoint site you must first connect to the GlobalProtect VPN to ensure traffic encrypted and secure. Below are the instructions to set up the connection for the first time.

Step 1. Open any web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome) and browse to ‘https://staffvpn.it.wsu.edu

Step 2. Log in with your WSU Network ID and password (same as the log in you use to log into your computer) 

Step 3. Select your version, for most users Windows 64bit will be the correct choice. Please reach out to FAIS or your local IT team if assistance is needed.

Step 4. Once the file is downloaded, double click on it to run it (You may need your IT’s admin password to install the software). 

Step 5. Follow the prompts on the installer (click next, next, finish). FAIS or your IT team can assist with this if needed.  

Step 6. You should now be able to see this icon in your task tray: pic3
 
Step 7. Right click on the icon and click show panel 

Step 8. Enter the same address and credentials as before

Step 9. Click Connect the icon should change and look like this: pic6

Step 10. You may now open a web browser and browse to https://payroll.sharepoint.wsu.edu. It will prompt you for your credentials. Enter the same Network ID and password as you have for the others. You will see the home page and you should see only the library you are assigned to.

Step 11. When you are done, right click on the same icon and select disable. Please note: when using a VPN connection connections to other sites may not function correctly if you do not disconnect from this VPN when done.

Step 12. Once setup is compete the only step needed to connect to the VPN and then SharePoint is to right click on the GlobalProtect VPN icon in your task tray, click enable, and then browse to the SharePoint site and log in.
