Questions:
How do I connect my Android Tablet or Phone to the WSU Wireless or WSU ResNet WiFi Networks?
What are the steps to connect my Phone to WSU Wireless?
How do I join the WiFi in my dorm room with my Android Phone, Kindle Fire, or Android Tablet?
Answer:
Go to your Settings and Select WiFi first so you can see the available wireless networks.
- Select "WSU Wireless" or "WSU Wireless Aruba" for the wireless network you want to connect to.
(The settings for that network will be displayed on your device - the same security settings will work for either WSU Wireless or WSU ResNet) - Enter your Identity as your NID. (Your NID or Network ID is the first part of your email address. For example, Butch.Cougar@wsu.edu has the NID of 'butch.cougar'.)
- Some devices may have an "Anonymous identity" field. Leave this Blank.
- Enter your NID password. This is the same password you use to log into your WSU email and MyWSU.
- Where it asks you to "Select certificate," set that to either "Trust on first use (TOFU)," or "Do Not Validate."
- For "EAP method" select "PEAP".
- For "Phase 2 authentication" select "MSCHAPV2".
- Touch "Connect."
Your device should show "Obtaining IP address from WSU Wireless (or WSU ResNet)" then shortly after "Connected to WSU Wireless (or WSU ResNet)."
IMPORTANT: Press "Cancel" to go back to the previous screen. Do NOT press "Forget" or you will need to enter all the configuration information again.
We've recently noticed newer phones asking for a Domain. If yours requires that, use wsu.edu for the Domain.

Just a note that this needs to be re-done when the MyWSU password (email/Workday/etc.) gets reset.
