Workday: Post a Job/Evergreen Requisition


This Reference Guide provides information on how to post a job requisition or evergreen requisition in the Workday system.

Steps to Post a Job Requisition

Execute the following steps to post a job or evergreen requisition in the Workday system:

  1. Log in to the Workday system.
  2. On the Workday Home page, enter Post Job in the Search field and select Post Job - Task.

Note: This task will also automatically trigger as part of the job requisition business process and can be initiated from the Workday Inbox. Alternatively, the task can be run directly from the Job/Evergreen Requisition page.

  1. In the Job Requisition field, select the job requisition or evergreen requisition to be posted.
  2. Select the OK button.

  1. In the Job Posting Site field, select where the job is to be posted. You may select more than one posting site.
  2. Select the Preview Job Posting checkbox to preview the job posting before it is posted.
  3. Select the OK button.

  1. Review the job posting preview and select the OK button to proceed with posting.

  1. Edit the Start Date for the posting, as necessary.
  2. If you want to end the job posting after a certain date, enter a date into the End Date field. You can leave this field blank if the job requisition will remain open until filled. You can also update the posting end date at a later time.

Note: Primary Posting is only used if there is more than one external job site. As WSU only has one external job site, a Primary Posting does not need to be identified.

  1. Select Submit to post the job.
