Background

  • One of the options for Multi-Factor Authentication for Okta is the use of a U2F USB Security Key

Issue/Problem

  • Students who cannot or do not wish to use Text Message, Voice Call, or Okta App on a phone or tablet for Mutli-Factor Authentication, are able to purchase and use a U2F USB Security Key to obtain the necessary code for Multi-Factor Authentication.
  • For WSU staff and faculty who cannot or do not wish to use Text Message, Voice Call, or Okta App on a phone or tablet for Mutli-Factor Authentication, they may contact their department regarding purchasing a U2F USB Security Key for the user's Multi-Factor Authentication needs.
