Telephones: Phone Transfers (Person does not want the call at that time)
A tutorial on how to transfer a phone call if the person does not want the call at the time.
Situation: you get a phone call, you call the person requested, and they do not want to take the call, but want voicemail.
- Place the call on hold
- Press transfer
- Dial the other person's phone number by using their extension (5-digit number)
- Ask that person if they want the call, if they do not, end that call
- Take the person off of hold and tell them you will put them through to the voicemail
- Press the transfer button
- Press the * button, then dial the extension
- Press transfer once the call is connected
