WSUNIX service is decommissioning and you would like to know your options for moving forward.

Note: As of June 29, 2018, you will no longer be able to log in to access your content on WSUNIX.

Options for your STATIC web content

  1. Do Nothing
    1. Your static HTML site will stay exactly the same and will not go away
    2. You WILL NOT be able to edit your files
  2. Move to WSU WordPress
    1. Request a new site at our web portal
      1. New Lab / Research Website - For those showcasing research and/or lab research
      2. New Website - for more a more general purpose site
    2. Content migration
      1. Move the content into WordPress yourself
      2. Request that we move the content for you ($85/hour)
    3. When your new site is ready, we can help set up a redirect from WSUNIX to your new site
  3. Move your static HTML site to another web server
    1. Request a copy of your static content and move it to a web hosting solution of your choice
    2. When your content is ready at the new location, we can help set up a redirect from WSUNIX

Options for your DYNAMIC web content

  1. Do Nothing
    1. All dynamic content (scripts, CGI, etc) will be removed
  2. Move your dynamic content
    1. Move to a new WSU ITS server with a Service Level Agreement (SLA)
    2. Find a non-WSU hosting solution and move the dynamic content there
    3. When your content is ready at the new location, we can help set up a redirect from WSUNIX
