Although all students and faculty should have access to WSU ResNet, there are some cases that others such as relatives, friends from off campus, etc. may want to access the internet without using a data plan. For this, we offer a service called WSU ResNet Guest. You do not need to be affiliated with the university to use this service, you just need to have an active email account.
WSU ResNet Guest is only available in Residence Halls
However
WSU Guest works across Pullman campus and is a similar process.
Step-by-step guide
- When in the residence halls, you should see a network named WSU ResNet Guest.
- Connect this device like you would with any other network. No username and password required at this step.
- Depending on your device, one of several things may happen:
- Your device may open a web browser and prompt for the following steps:
- Your device may create a notification that prompts you to continue in the following steps:
- You may need to manually open the web browser and be redirected to the following steps:
- The page will prompt you to enter your name and email address and accept the terms and conditions.
- The page will then display the email that you had used to login with and a 6 digit password.
- Remember this password, you will need it to log in again after the network expires.
- This password will also be emailed to you via the email provided.
- By default your device will be connected to the WSU ResNet Guest network for 180 days.
- After three days have passed, you will be required to reauthenticate (see below).
- Be aware that this time frame may be adjusted to longer or shorter intervals without notice.

- To reauthenticate after the allotted time (default is 180 days) you will connect to the network the same way as step 3.
- After you are on the page, instead click on "I have an account already"
- You will be prompted to enter your email and password.
- If you forgot your password, it was emailed to you when you originally signed up.
- Accept the terms and conditions.
- You should now be re authenticated.
