Definition of a Borrowed Course: A non-Global campus course (i.e., Everett, Pullman, Spokane, Tri-Cities, Vancouver) using Global Campus course content.

To use content from a Global Campus course, a non-Global campus course must be requested as a Borrowed Course. Requesting a Borrowed Course will initiate the Course Verification Process.

During this process, the Global Campus team will complete the following:

  • Transfer Canvas course content
  • Remove and adjust information in the course space that refers to resources and policies only applicable to Global Campus courses
  • Complete a copyright and media review to ensure that the content is legally allowed to be used outside of Global Campus

Note: For the legal and logistical implications mentioned above, Global Campus course content should not be copied without requesting through Global Campus.

To request a borrowed course, contact ats.aoi@wsu.edu and include the following:

  • The course ID of the Global Campus course you want the content copied from
  • The non-Global campus course you want the content copied to

Note: If you are not the instructor of the Global Campus course, you will need department chair or instructor approval to move forward with the request.
