I want to manage my Zoom Phone Caller ID.
What is Caller ID?
Caller ID is phone system feature that allows the person you're calling to see your name and number. A caller ID consists of two parts:
- The caller ID number is the phone number attached to the caller.
- The caller ID name is the name displayed in text with the caller ID number.
Note: In the US, the caller ID name that is displayed to the receiving party is determined by the phone service that is receiving the call, not the phone service where the call is originating. The phone service that is receiving the call relies on a caller ID name database to match the incoming caller ID number with a caller ID name. In the US, only the caller ID number is passed along to the receiving phone service so it's up to them to match the number with a caller ID name.

Solution
You can set your Caller ID in the Zoom Desktop app or the Web portal to display the following options:
- Your direct number
- Main Company line
- Call Queue or Shared Line Group (if applicable)
- A delegator number (if applicable)
- Hide Caller ID (This should not be used because it does not function as a user would expect)
Note: The caller ID you set in the Zoom web portal is permanent, and it will update your caller ID in the Zoom desktop client and mobile app. However, setting it in the desktop client or mobile app is temporary: Caller ID returns to match the original settings in the Zoom web portal when you sign out.
Zoom Web Portal
- Log in to the WSU Zoom Web Portal.
- Navigate to the Phone Settings
- Scroll down and click on the Outbound Caller ID drop-down menu.
- Select the Caller ID.
- Click Save.
Zoom Desktop App
- Launch the Zoom desktop app on your device.
- Sign in with SSO.
- Navigate to the Phone tab.
- Set your Caller ID from the menu located below the dial pad.
Desk phone
You can set your caller ID for your single-line desk phone from the WSU Zoom web portal.
Note: Do not set your outbound caller ID using the phone's interface.
- Log in to the WSU Zoom Web Portal and navigate to the Phone Settings.
- Scroll down to Keys & Positions in the Desk Phone section, and click View or Edit.
- Click Manage Key and set your caller ID.
