What is the VPN portal?
WSU VPN portals use OKTA Multifactor Authentication (MFA) - the same MFA system used for MyWSU, Workday, and WSU email.

Who should use the WSU GlobalProtect VPN service?
The WSU GlobalProtect VPN service is intended for:
- Students, Faculty, and Staff
- Accessing WSU systems remotely
- Connecting to on-campus computers via Remote Desktop (RDP)
- Accessing internal university resources securely
When should the WSU GlobalProtect VPN service not be used?
The WSU GlobalProtect should not be used for:
- Streaming (YouTube, Netflix)
- Social media (Facebook, Instagram)
- Personal email or unrelated browsing
- VPN should only be used for academic or university business purposes.
What operating systems are supported?
WSU currently uses GlobalProtect version 6.3.x.
