If you wish to no longer receive emergency notices to one of the contact methods you can opt out from contact methods individually. 

We strongly recommend you remain opted in as Everbridge is intended for emergency notifications. Also, please consider simply removing a contact method if it is something other than your WSU Email or Business Phone.

Everbridge allows contacts to opt out of receiving email messages via a system-generated link.
Contacts can unsubscribe from emails through the most recent notification received. Follow these steps.

  1. Open the email message and scroll down to the bottom
  2. Select Click Here to unsubscribe!
  3. Click the checkbox for I'm not a robot
  4. Click Yes, Unsubscribe

A confirmation page is displayed and the contact is unsubscribed from email notifications.

Voice - Unsubscribe, Opt Out, Remove, Stop From Receiving Everbridge Voice Notifications.

Once you receive a call from your organization. Towards the end of the message, you may hear a prompt to unsubscribe or opt out of notification phone calls. Follow the voice prompts to unsubscribe using the dialer. Once you complete the process, you'll hear a confirmation message.

SMS - Unsubscribe, Opt Out, Remove, Stop From Receiving Everbridge SMS Notifications.

Contacts who receive Everbridge SMS notifications can respond to an SMS message using one of the recognized keywords below to opt out of receiving SMS messages from the organization. Accepted unsubscribe keywords are:

  • STOP
  • END
  • UNSUBSCRIBE
  • QUIT
  • CANCEL

IMPORTANT: Note there are no buttons or options called "STOP" or any of the other accepted keywords. Instead to unsubscribe from SMS messages, type the keyword as a reply to the message.
