Click a search in the Searches window and a window like this will appear: 

Undergraduate Imaging Search:

Graduate Imaging Search:

 Enter Enter the search criteria, such as WSUID or Last Name Begins with smi% , LastName > Begins With > "smi%" or First Name begins with j% and results of that search will show like this: (you can just enter the WSUID and it all would come up, but I am giving you an example if for some reason you do not have the WSUID handy). and click Search> Begins With > "j%"  and click Search. (Note: WSUID's do not require a leadin zero  leading zero).

To view the document, click on the "mime" type or click on Open.

The basic viewer will show in a new tab - next to the window you have open.

Click on that window if it's not on top.

TIP: You can drag that window over to a separate monitor screen if you wantbrowser tab.

The launch opens button opens it in a native viewer, like a pdf similar to how a .PDF would open in Adobe Acrobat. 
  
 
Update Record Metadata* - The Update is where button allows you to change metadata fields.

 

Scroll through and update what you need to and hit select the Update button in the top right.
